2013 ASID Design Award

We are honored to have been selected as the second place corporate office winner in the 2013 Michigan  ASID Awards competition.  Our project was a terrific design challenge — insert a corporate office for global beauty products supplier tng worldwide into an existing distribution center.  Oh, and do it on a demanding budget and schedule.  Our longtime client made smart, fast decisions and the General Contractor Quadrants knew the building from the original construction.  We did it and this award is icing on the cake.

The Scarcello design team is proud to have received the 1st Place Winner Contract – Corporate Office Space for 2012.  The winning entry was the new corporate offices of Edward Rose & Sons in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.  The project acknowledged its close neighbor, Cranbrook, and took many design cues from that iconic space.  The new interiors feature daylight and open sight lines as well as strong accent colors inspired by a rug in the Cranbrook Museum collection.

2011 ASID Michigan Design Award

Good things come in threes.  The Scarcello design team kept their winning streak going with a 2011 ASID Design Award for the Clubhouse of Prairie Lakes in Peoria, Illinois.  The building is a multi-tasking, hardworking facility that has varied commercial uses.

The design brief from the client was to incorporate a FrankLloyd Wright feel in the space to enhance the exterior architecture and to tie to the local area which has a Frank Lloyd Wright house and is the headquarters of Caterpillar.  The interior design team selected a warm rich palette with colors historically accurate to Frank Lloyd Wright.  The finishes and furniture suggest a residential character but  perform in a demanding commercial environment.

The award category was Multi-Use.  Thanks go to our client Edward Rose &
Sons for their confidence and support.
